Tutorial Tuesday

Tutorials.....umm ya. i have had many requests for tutorials with my crafts.  Here is the issue.  I suck at tutorials!  The reason being that really my creativity comes to me as I create.  It is not a way organized process but i will try to organize my thoughts and creativity and share. 

Today is my favorite!  My awesome frames.  I love them :o)

I usually go to a flee market or a consignment shop to find these beauties and it really does take keep you eye out for them and even getting you hands a bit dirty and digging for them.  Remember, you are not looking for color! This is one of the first mistakes people make when finding items to refinish.  Your eye is natually drawn to certain colors.  My eye is drawn to blue and green, always has always will. Look for shape and really all around awesomeness. 

Spray paint is your friend.  I usually clean the frame before I paint.  That is all.  No matter what finish.  That is what makes it unique.  Don't be scared of inperfections, that gives it character.  Spray paint these bad boys and let them dry.  Be careful!  Don't put them up to early you might get paint on the wall.  I wait a few days.  Sometimes I add extra color with toll paint.
